A note from the designer
I design Ewa London for people who want to carry their culture into the way they dress today.
That connection takes shape in the details: an Ankara trim inside a sleeve, a print panel set against black chino, or an African textile paired with denim. I use placement, contrast and proportion to give each fabric room to speak, while keeping the piece versatile enough to wear again in different ways.
The Ewatomi bag draws inspiration from the Festac ’77 mask. It is one expression of how I bring cultural references into contemporary accessories, giving the design a story beyond its silhouette.
Founded in 2012 and established as a family business in North London in 2020, Ewa London brings African heritage into conversation with life in London and across the diaspora. Quality and longevity guide our approach: pieces to care for, return to and make part of your own story.
For me, building a cultural bridge begins with something personal — a fabric you recognise, a detail that starts a conversation, a connection you choose to wear.
